Where Eskimos LiveSynopsis: 1995. Genocide. Ethnic cleansing. But the bleak of war-torn Bosnia doesn't hold the candle to the cold-hearted man about to make it rich in these hard times. Sharkey's (Hoskins, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Enemy At the Gates) in the children's business - he sells them. And since he poses as a UNICEF worker who can take one child out of the country to safety, the children flock to him like sheep to a shepherd. But a nine-year old orphan Vlado is about to change all that. Scavenging to survive, Vlado thinks Sharkey is his key to freedom, and goes with him. Seems Sharkey's a marked man, about to be executed by soldiers who think he's a spy. But Vlado buys Sharkey's freedom with gold he recovers from corpses. Through time and a perilous journey to Poland, Sharkey finds the humanity in him he thought had disappeared forever and decides against turning Vlado over to the Russian mob as he's supposed to, and gives the boy, and himself a new lease of life.
