What a Girl Wants

Synopsis:

If there's one thing Daphne (Bynes, Big Fat Liar, The Amanda Show) wants, it's a father. After being single-handedly raised by her mother Libby (Preston, The Cat In The Hat, For Love Of The Game), Daphne finds out that she is the love child of Libby and an Englishman. That Englishman, Sir Henry Dashwood (Firth, Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason, Love Actually) is now a rich British politician running for office.

Daphne flies to London, and attempts to reconnect with her father. She has comic encounters with stuffy English society, her father's very competitive girlfriend and her daughter, and his scheming adviser (Jonathan Pryce, De-Lovely, Pirates Of The Caribbean) --- who feels the revelation of Daphne's existence could cost Sir Henry the election.

Can this American girl find love and happiness as the daughter of a wealthy English lord?
