Synopsis:

Imagine a future without dry land. A future where the earth, covered in water after the polar caps melted, has evolved into a gritty, nautical society held together by determination and ingenuity. This is Waterworld. For the survivors, one chance remains: a solitary hero, known only as the Mariner (Kevin Costner). Battling the renegade Smokers and their ruthless leader, the Deacon (Dennis Hopper), the Mariner sets out with a beautiful woman (Jeanne Tripplehorn) and a mysterious little girl who holds the key to finding paradise: dry land.
