Synopsis:

A second remake for Dark Castle Entertainment after The House on Haunted Hill, this highly entertaining horror flick has a superb cast including a ghost that looks remarkably like Ted Danson. Now how scary is that?

Upon his Uncle Cyrus' mysterious death, widowed teacher Arthur Kriticos (Shalhoub, TV's Monk) and his family - daughter Kathy (Elizabeth, American Pie 2), son Bobby (Alec Roberts, Traffic), and housekeeper Maggie (Rah Digga, Carmen: A Hip Hopera) inherit a luxurious mansion - which was once home to Cyrus.

There's just one problem - the house seems to have a dangerous agenda of its own. Trapped in their new home by strangely shifting walls, the family encounters powerful and vengeful entities that threaten to annihilate anyone in their path.

Soon Arthur is joined by an offbeat ghost hunter who is determined to free the spirits imprisoned in the house. Caught in a frantic race to save himself and his family, Arthur soon realizes the house is a riddle which contains the key to their salvation - or destruction.
