The Wisdom of Crocodiles

Synopsis:

Handsome, successful, witty, and generous, Steven Grlscz (Jude Law) effortlessly seduces women and wins their trust. But this is a lonely and desperate pursuit: he literally cannot live without a woman's love. When the body of his latest conquest is discovered, Steven contacts the police to forestall their investigation. Inspector Healey (Timothy Spall) comes to believe that Steven is innocent, but hot-headed Detective Roche (Jack Davenport) isn't convinced. While Healey and Roche pursue their enquiries, Steven meets Anne Levels (Elina LÃ¶wensohn), an intelligent and self-possessed woman who doesn't give much away. For Steven, proof of Anne's perfect love is vital, and her uncertainty is killing him. As he deteriorates, Anne must choose whether to make the ultimate sacrifice for her love.
