The Spitfire Grill

Synopsis:

A small town with no future. A newcomer with too much past. That basically sums up the plot of this truly inspiring and fabled tale in which recently released convict Percy (Elliot, Trance) searching for a new direction in life ends up waitressing for Hannah (Oscar-winner Burstyn, Playing By Heart) the indomitable restaurant owner, in a close-knit, remote Maine Community.

With the help of a timid but resourceful housewife Shelly, (Marcia Gay Harden, Meet Joe Black), Percy transforms Hannah's ramshackle grill into a magical haven and softens the hearts of the mistrustful townspeople. Winner of the prestigious audience award at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival.
