Synopsis:

Law student Julia Roberts (I Love Trouble) has a theory about the murder of two Supreme Court judges, and she calls it "The Pelican Brief". But if it's only a theory, why are the people who have read the brief being killed?

Realizing she may be next, Roberts goes underground with ace investigative reporter Denzel Washington (Courage Under Fire). Following a twisted trail - and keeping one step ahead of the killers - they uncover a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of government.
