| | The Matthew Shepard StorySynopsis: Matthew Shepard (Meier, Papa's Angels) was a 21 yr old kid, extremely bright, but unassumingly quiet. He was gay - and small for his age; only 5'2", and weighed slightly too. But this young man made the headlines in the most unfortunate circumstances - when he was brutally murdered in the quiet, remote fields of the Wyoming countryside. He was mercilessly beaten up and left to die, and he surprisingly survived 18 painful hours before being found by a lady police officer. But 6 days later, he succumbed to the battering. This film, based on a true story, chronicles the painful trial that his family had to endure against the men accused of murdering their son; and ironically both the accused were only as old as the one they killed.
