| | The Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers (2002)Synopsis: In the second part of the Tolkien trilogy, the remaining members of the Fellowship pursue different paths. Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood- Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Spy Kids 3D) and Samwise Gamgee (Sean Astin- 50 First Dates) continue their long and perilous journey to Mordor to cast the One Ring into the fire from where it was forged. They have no choice but to trust the treacherous Gollum (Andy Serkis) to lead them there. Pippin (Billy Boyd- Master And Commander) and Merry (Dominic Monaghan) fall into the hands of Treebeard the Ent, and the two try to persuade Treebeard to change direction and go towards Saruman's (Christopher Lee- Star Wars) lair at Isengard and destroy him once and for all. Saruman's forces are marching toward Helm's Deep, where valiant forces, both human and Elven----make their last stand. The battle for Middle Earth has begun.
