The Long RunSynopsis: Unable to achieve his own dreams, Bertold Bohmer (Oscar nominee Armin Mueller-Stahl, Shine, Mission To Mars) is in the business of helping others achieve theirs, as a trainer in South Africa helping athletes prepare for the Comrades Marathon - a grueling 54-mile race through the desert. When he's fired from his assignment and watches his long distance runners put on middle distance training, Bohmer is understandably devastated. But he soon sets his sights on Christine (Nthati Moshesh), whom he identifies as a natural contender for the race. A rookie to the competition and an illegal alien, Christine lets Bohmer train her to form and glory. But his gritty, hardliner approach to training wears her spirit down, and pushes her away.
