The Last Ride

Synopsis:

After spending 30 years in the slammer for an armed robbery that resulted in the death of his wife, Ronnie Purcell (Hopper, Land of The Dead) has finally been released.

Now he wants to exact revenge on, Daryl Kurtz (Ward, Sweet Home Alabama, Enough), the cop who sent him to prison. However, Purcell's son Aaron (Patton, The Punisher, The Mothman Prophecies), who was adopted and brought up by Kurtz, is now a principled and strait-laced cop who wants nothing to do with his ex-con father.

But Aaron's son Matthew is fascinated by his grandfather's criminal past and volunteers to help find Kurtz.

Solid performances, well-staged car chases and some genuinely startling twists in the plot help lift this movie way above average.
