The Kite Runner

Synopsis:

In 1970s Afghanistan, Amir and Hassam, his loyal friend and son of his Hazara servant Ali, are raised in Amir's father house. After Amir won a kite competition, Hassam runs to bring Amir a kite only to get brutally assaulted in the streets, with little help from his friend. Many decades later, after settling in California, Amir, having become a successful writer, receives a call that would propel him back into a world he left behind.
