Synopsis:

Ernie Davis is a talented African-American football athlete, and Ben Schwartzwalder, his team coach in 1958-1962. As the civil rights movement heats up, Ernie has to overcome discrimination, which in turn inspires Ben to take his players from several finals to the national championship.
