The Ballad of Josie

Synopsis:

The fur flies in this wild west tale of women's rights and sheepfarming. Josie (Day) is acquitted of bludgeoning to death her whisky-soaked husband, but finds herself a widow who needs to make a living. Her broken-down ranch offers some hope, but a wealthy neighbor, Arch Ogden (Kennedy), eager to expand, has other plans. The rest of the cattle rearing town is also against her for choosing sheep over cow. Emotional support comes in the form of Jason Meredith (Peter Graves).
