| | The 51st StateSynopsis: Acclaimed Hong Kong action filmmaker Ronny Yu directs this witty and violent action comedy with trademark flair. Yu is known for turning some films with highly improbable plots into entertaining hits and he does this again with characteristic zeal. This frenctically paced film stars Samuel L. Jackson (Swati, Coach Carter, The Incredibles) at his Pulp Fiction best. Elmo McElroy (Jackson), an American master chemist, heads to England in the hopes of scoring it big with a new drug he calls 'The 51st State'. But things don't go as planned and Elmo gets stuck in Liverpool dodging assasins and sidestepping skinheads. He's forced to form an unlikely partnership with small time hood Felix DeSouza (Carlyle, The Full Monty, Plunkett & Macleane) so as to complete his $20million drug deal before anyone can kill him off.
