Tango & Cash

Synopsis:

Too easily compared to the Lethal Weapon series, this action comedy buddy flick comes on its own when viewed on the small screen. Narcotics cops Ray Tango (Stallone, Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, Shade) and Gabe Cash (Russell, Jiminy Glick In La-La Wood, Miracle) are as different as night and day.

Dressed to the nines, Tango is the suave policeman. In his daggy shirt and jeans, Cash is his salt-of-the-earth competitor on the force. Each has, in his own intimate way, cracked down on drug dealers -- much to the fury of crime boss, Yves Perret (Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner Palance, Back When We Were Grownups). As an act of retaliation, Perret decides to frame the two cops and have them sent to prison.

It turns out, Tango and Cash don't get along any better behind bars than they did in the station house. But when the ruling goons of the penitentiary torture them, Tango and Cash reluctantly join forces in an effort to overthrow the prison menace, escape, and pursue Perret. As they close in on Perret, the two cops don't realize that he has one more card to play --- Tango's beautiful sister Kiki (Golden Globe® winner Hatcher, Desperate Housewives).
