Switchback

Synopsis:

From sun-scorched Texas to the snowy heights of the Rockies, top FBI agent Frank LaCrosse (Quaid, Yours, Mine and Ours, Flight of the Phoenix) hunts down a faceless but brilliant serial killer and himself becomes the hunted. The killer, leading the agency on a vicious, cross-country game of cat and mouse, raises the stakes by kidnapping LaCrosse's young son. As his professional interest becomes personal, the agent single-mindedly sets out to force the killer into a confrontation, unaware that he too is being lured into the spider's web. Along the way, a chance encounter with an elusive figure named Bob (including Glover, Duplicity, Missing in America) holds the key to the killer's identity and, ultimately, the resolution to LaCrosse's case.
