| | Swing Shift (1984)Synopsis: Two women become good friends when their men are enlisted at the beginning of WW II. Kay Walsh (Hawn) is an ideal housewife. Her next door neighbor, Hazel Zanussi (Lahti) is a beautiful and flashily dressed dance hall hostess. The two find work at the MacBride Aircraft Manufacturing Company as most of the male workers are off fighting the war. Both work on the Swing Shift. A fellow worker Lucky Lockhart (Russell) has had his eyes on Kay from the time she joined the company. Out of loneliness Kay allows Lucky into her home and her bed. On Lucky's birthday, while Kay, Lucky and Hazel are celebrating, there is a knock on the door, it's Jack on an unexpected furlough.
