Swept AwaySynopsis: Guy Ritchie helms the remake of Lina Wertmuller?s 1974 classic starring Mariangela Melato and Giancarlo Giannini. Pop star Madonna reprises the role of the spoiled and supremely bitchy millionaire's wife Amber who goes on a cruise with her long-suffering husband Tony (Bruce Greenwood- Hollywood Homicide, The Core) and their friends. She finds the trip incredibly boring and decides to focus her derision and anger on the boat's first mate Giuseppe (played by Giancarlo's son Adriano). One late afternoon, Amber insists that Giuseppe take her on a smaller boat to meet up with her companions who have gone exploring the underwater caves. A freak thunderstorm separates Amber and Giuseppe from their boat. They are eventually shipwrecked on an island. Amber is now rendered vulnerable, and has to depend on Giuseppe to survive.
