Sunshine StateSynopsis: Plantation Island is on the verge of change, and so is Marly (Edie Falco) and Desiree (Oscar nominee Angela Bassett, What's Love Got To Do With It?), two women living in different towns on the island. Marly finds living her father's dream of running a motel too much for her. Her marriage is on the rocks while new romances come as they please, and leave as they wish. Desiree returns home after a forced leave of absence - being sent away by her parents for getting pregnant at 15 - to parade her new husband.
