| | Summer RentalSynopsis: Jack Chester (Candy) is an air traffic controller who has been under a lot of stress lately. When his boss spots him giving landing instructions to a fly on his monitor, he knows it's time for Jack to take a break. For some R & R, Jack decides to take his family to the sunny resort town of Citrus Cove, Florida. But their troubles begin as soon as they get there. On their first night in town, the Chesters wait in line for several hours for a table at the town's finest lobster restaurant, only to lose it to Al Pellet, a local business tycoon who obviously has the right connections. Then, they discover that the beautiful house they thought they rented for the summer is really a shack in a public access beach. Along the way, Jack strikes up a friendship with seafaring rogue Scully (Torn), whose good humour far outweighs his culinary skills. Together, they hatch a plan to turn Scully's boat into a lean, mean racing machine and enter it in the local regatta. Although the event has been traditionally won by Pellet, the Chesters are going to give him a run for his money. Problem is, they only have two weeks to do it. Will they succeed? Directed by Carl Reiner, father of Rob (When Harry Met Sally, Misery).
