Stepping Out

Synopsis:

Liza Minelli (Academy Award-winner, Cabaret) plays Mavis Turner, a dance teacher who teaches a dance class with a heart. And for a couple of sweaty hours every week, her students take their noses away from the grindstone and hit the dance floor to let it out by tap dancing, or "stepping out".

Mavis has a profound impact on her students and the effects are mutual, with the lessons extending beyond the classroom. It is here in her dance class that they learn about their hopes and dreams. When asked to dance for a local charity event, they get a chance to put their insatiable zest for life and its expression to some good use.

Also starring Shelley Winters (Two-time Academy Award-winner for Best Supporting Actress, A Patch of Blue, The Diary of Anne Frank), Bill Irwin (Hot Shots, Eight Men Out) and Jane Krakowski (from television series Ally McBeal).
