Synopsis:

Set in 1954 on an island in the Pacific Northwest, Ishmael, a small-town newspaperman holds information that may acquit local Japanese-American fisherman Kazuo of a murder of a fellow fisherman, but can he suppress his past feelings of love for Kazuo's wife Hatsue?
