When the widow tells Nate (Peter Krause) that she and her dead husband "were one of those horrible got married too soon for all the wrong reasons couples," Nate sees parallels to his own marriage. He is in for a surprise when ex-girlfriend Brenda (Rachel Griffiths- Ned Kelly, The Rookie, Blow, My Best Friend's Wedding) shows up and apologizes to Nate for her infidelity during their relationship. Nate tells his wife Lisa (Lili Taylor) about the encounter, and Lisa is furious. David (Michael C Hall) admits to himself that he did have a sexual encounter with a chorus member in a men's room. Keith (Mathew St Patrick) decides its time to switch jobs. Claire (Lauren Ambrose) becomes an assistant of sorts to her art teacher Olivier. She's about to have her first date with Russell but she cancels it at the last minute. Federico (Freddy Rodriguez) convinces Nate and David to take on an apprentice Arthur Martin.
