Synopsis:

Writer Diana Sullivan wants to remove her drug-addict daughter Grace from the corruptive environs of Manhattan. When assigned to write an article about family trees, Diana takes her daughter and heads to Louisiana to seek out an elusive great-uncle, hoping to give Grace a new start in life.
