Short CircuitSynopsis: Kids and adults alike will love and enjoy what movie critic Roger Ebert cites as "a very likable little mechanical being". No. 5 is the military's latest prototype battlefield weapon, created by scientist Newton Crosby (Guttenberg, Sheer Bliss, Three Men And A Little Lady). But after being hit by a bolt of lightning, No. 5's circuits get fried, and he begins to think, talk and act like he has a mind and personality of his own! Comedy mayhem ensues when No.5 escapes the military compound and Guttenberg sets out to find him. The cute robot encounters ice-cream truck driver Stephanie (Sheedy, Noise, Shelter Island), and she adopts him, short circuits and all. Guttenberg races against time to find No.5 and inevitably encounters and falls in love with Sheedy. But the military have other plans for the robot...
