Shaun of the Dead

Synopsis:

Popular British standup comedian-turned-actor Simon Pegg (Band of Brothers, 24 Hour Party People, Six Pairs of Pants), is Shaun, an ambitionless electronics store employee.

The dead decide to rise in London, and a full zombie apocalypse rages around them, forcing Shaun into action to rescue his mother and girl friend, Kate Ashfield (This Little Life, Late Night Shopping, The Low Down).

Pegg co-wrote the movie with Edgar Wright and this British "zom-rom-com" (zombie romantic comedy) bagged the Saturn Award for Best Horror Film, Bram Stoker Award and British Independent Film Award for Best Screenplay.

It also propelled Pegg's popularity as a comedian in the U.K. to new heights, winning him the Peter Sellers Award for Comedy.
