| S1m0neSynopsis: Viktor Taransky (Academy Award® winner Al Pacino- Angels In America, The Recruit, Insomnia, Scent Of A Woman, The Godfather Trilogy) is a down-and-out director who loses his last chance for a comeback. His ex-wife, studio head Elaine Christian (Catherine Keener - Being John Malkovich, Death To Smoochy) pulls the plug on his movie when temperamental actress Nicola Anders (Golden Globe® winner Winona Ryder in a cameo role) walks off his set. A chance encounter with computer wiz Hank Aleno (Elias Koteas - Shot In The Heart, Collateral Damage) introduces Taransky to Aleno's creation - "synthespians." When Aleno leaves his computer program to Taransky in his will, he starts tinkering around with the software and creates S1m0ne - the director's ultimate dream. She won't get old, she won't gain weight, she doesn't have an agent, manager, entourage, or guru! She won't make diva demands, and doesn't have any problems with nudity. Taransky manages to finish his film and add S1m0ne digitally, the film becomes a smashing success, and Taransky regains popularity. Now everyone wants to meet S1m0ne - but Taransky is loathe to reveal her true origins! © A.M.P.A.S.® |
