Romancing the Stone

Synopsis:

Three great stars team up in this action packed adventure story. Joan Wilder (Turner) is a writer of romantic thrillers who is longing for some romance herself. Excitement suddenly looms when her sister sends her a desperate message from South America. The message reads that unless Turner flies to Cartegna with a treasure map showing the location of a priceless jewel, she will be killed. On landing in Colombia, she attracts the attention of a motley band of desperadoes, including a hapless gangster, played by Danny DeVito. However, she finds an ally in feisty American soldier-of-fortune, played by Michael Douglas.
