Riverworld

Synopsis:

Top US Astronaut Jeff Hale (Johnson) is killed when his space shuttle is hit by pieces of debris.

Fast forward to the year 2009. Hale awakens, very much alive and surrounded by thick fluid in a womb-like sac floating in water. He surfaces in a wide river, near land that looks like Earth, except for its two suns and three moons. Upon seeing his reflection in the water, Hale knows something extraordinary has happened - his once 53-year-old face is now miraculously transformed into that of a 35-year-old man.

Suddenly, hundreds of people emerge from the water, just as Hale did. They are of different races, speaking in a cacophony of languages as they scream in terror.

Intrigued by these strange events, Hale decides to investigate further - unaware that the rules of this planet are like nothing he has ever known.
