Reality Bites

Synopsis:

College valedictorian Lelaina Pierce (Ryder, Autmn In New York and Girl, Interuppted) has just graduated and lands a job as a production assistant at a local morning television show.

An aspiring filmmaker to boot, Pierce is busy documenting the surprising and often hilarious 'bites' of her friends' everyday reality. There is Troy Dyer (Hawke, Hamlet, Gattaca), part-time musician, full-time cynic; Vicki Miner (Garofalo, Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, Titan A.E.), a 70's aficionado who walks out on the men in her life before they can walk out on her.

And there is sexually repressed Sammy Gray (Steve Zahn, Chain Of Fools, Hamlet) who's perfect solution to all romantic dilemmas is celibacy. Pierce finds herself torn between Dyer and a charming but materialistic video executive (also this movie's director, Stiller, Meet The Parents, The Independent).

This is an irreverent comedy about the hard facts of life and love in the 90's.
