Ready to Rumble

Synopsis:

Given that the sight of David Arquette (Scream 3) starring as a dimwit loser has become all too familiar over the years, it comes as no surprise to learn he is at it again. This time round, however, Arquette successfully brings in the laughs by the barrel loads playing an obsessive wrestling fanatic - in this funny send up - a cross between a WWF showdown and the movie, Dumb & Dumber.

Arquette is Gordie Boggs who together with buddy, Sean Dawkins (Caan, Boiler Room) are two young Wyoming men who spend their days dreaming of being like their professional wrestling idol, Jimmy King (Platt, West Wing). When the wrestling championships roll into town, the two get a shock of their lives when they witness their idol fall from grace, beaten to a bloody pulp and thrown out of the league.

After the show, Sean and Gordie decide to take matters into their own hands and begin a hilarious quest to return the King to glory. Wrestling fans, do check out the superb fight choreography, courtesy of WWF's Mortis and Kanyon, and the numerous roles and cameos by WWF wrestlers like Sting, Goldberg, Kidman, Diamond Dallas Page, Booker T, Bam Bam Bigelow and Sid Vicious, among a slew of others.
