Princess and the Marine

Synopsis:

Meriam, a beautiful Bahraini princess finds herself between a rock and a hard place, living under the restrictions of a Muslim country.

Desperate to reach out and connect with others, she dials random numbers and makes contact with three U.S. marines stationed in the country. There, she meets and falls in love with Jason, and gets both of them into a world of hot soup.

From the get-go, Islamic laws frown upon their union and threaten to stamp it out quick. While forbidden to see her new love, Jason arranges for her to escape from her palace, so they can go to America.

But America turns out to be the land of dashed dreams when the Marine Corps and the INS intercept the pair at the airport and arrests Meriam as an illegal alien. Once, she was a princess in chains, now she's a refugee waiting an uncertain fate.
