Platoon Leader

Synopsis:

A fresh lieutenant (Dudikoff, American Ninja, Virtual Assassin) gets his taste of war when he's whisked off to Vietnam with orders to lead a bunch of soldiers in guarding a village against the VC. But the men don't respect him because he doesn't know Jack.

One day, he almost gets himself and his men blown away, by stepping on a trip wire. Days later, one of his men dies of a drug O.D. Things don't look too bright for the little men in green. But he will learn the virtues of bravery, soldier-smarts and leadership from two sergeants who show him the ropes, and a soldier called Roach who slings a shotgun in favor of the standard issue M-16 and loves to kill.

When the GI Firebase comes under attack, Dudikoff shows his metal at last and takes a whack at the enemy without cover and gets wounded. He'll learn to be a fighting soldier, before he takes on leadership duties.
