Our AmericaSynopsis: Based on the true story of two ambitious inner-city Chicago teenagers, Lloyd Newman (Brandon Hammond, all grown up since his kid roles in The Fan and Space Jam) and LeAlan Jones (Roderick Pannell). The two respond to a call from a local radio broadcaster for "two young, intelligent African-Americans to be on the radio." They smooth talk their way into radio producer David Isay's (Josh Charles- S.W.A.T.) office and are hired as reporters. Their reporting on the 'hood' bring them success and fame via an award-winning Public Radio documentary on life on the South Side of Chicago. But their neighbors begin to accuse them of selling out and exploiting their own people. In the course of their investigative reporting, the two put their lives on the line to tell the story of the death of a 4-year old boy in their neighborhood.
