Synopsis:

If LAPD's newest and dullest Earl Montgomery (Martin Lawrence, Bad Boys, Big Momma, Bluestreak) isn't, wasn't and never will be, Hank Rafferty (Steve Zahn, You've Got Mail, That Thing You Do!) would be the happiest cop on the block.

But one "little" squabble too many - little enough to snowball into a major stinker publicity event - and Hank finds himself knocking on the doors of a private security firm for a job as a rent-a-cop. Only ... rock bottom has found a new low, and his new partner turns out to be Earl.

But the bad boys are gonna have to rise above their petty selves because evidence of the biggest crime to ride the LAPD waves just washed up on their watch. Seems Nash (Eric Roberts) is masterminding an elite smuggling network that has managed to elude the attention of the police.

To take out the trash, Hank and Earl will have to get rid of Nash's band of nasty merry men, and two top-brass LAPD officials.
