Synopsis:

It's the '50s, and progressive art history teacher Katherine Watson (Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner Roberts, Ocean's Twelve, Closer) is on a mission--- to imbue Wellesley college girls with the ambition to live fulfilling lives. For all their intelligence, the Wellesley girls seem to have just one thing on their minds --- marriage, a family, and a lovely house.

Betty Warren (Dunst, Wimbledon, Spider-Man 2) is a big believer in the traditional role, and challenges her professor at every turn. Joan Brandwyn (Stiles, The Bourne Supremacy, The Prince And Me) is torn between marrying her boyfriend right after college, or nurturing her dream of going to law school. Connie Baker (Goodwyn, Love Comes To The Executioner, Win A Date With Tad Hamilton!) isn't even thinking about marriage yet, she just wants to have a boyfriend. Giselle Levy (Gyllenhaal, Happy Endings, Criminal) is the most sexually liberated of them all, but gets tongue-tied when faced with her Italian teacher.

With their teacher at the helm, the four learn that in order to empower themselves they need only to have the courage to be true to oneself.
