Lockdown

Synopsis:

A dark prison drama centering on the lives of three friends unjustly imprisoned for a crime they did not commit.

Avery (Richard T Jones- Twisted, Phone Booth, Judging Amy) desperately wants to free himself and his family from the squalor of life in the projects. His future seems bright when after a regional swimming competition, talent scout Charles Pierce (Bill Nunn- Runaway Jury, People I Know, Spider-Man) takes an interest in him.

Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse when he and his pals Cashmere (Gabriel Casseus- Black Hawk Down, 15 Minutes, Fallen) and Dre (De' Aundre Bonds- The Heist) are pulled over by cops one night and framed for a robbery/ murder that they did not commit. They all land in prison, are separated from each other, and are forced to fend for themselves.

Avery quickly learns the ins and outs of prison life from a cellmate, Cashmere joins the African-American gang operating within the prison walls, and Dre resorts to drugs after being gang-raped by Nazi prison thugs. Their only hope for justice lies with Krista, Avery's wife (Melissa de Sousa- Miss Congeniality, Laurel Canyon) and Charles.
