Synopsis:

Based on award-winning playwright Neil Simon's story, the film takes a fictionalized look at the backstage anarchy that went into producing one of the top popular comedy-variety shows in the '50s.

Comic genius Max Prince (Nathan Lane- The Producers, Austin Powers In Goldmember, The Birdcage) is the star of his own show, but the ratings have begun to slip, and studio executives are pressuring him to dumb down his act for Midwest audiences.

To top it all off, his relationship with his family is falling apart, and the stress is eating him alive! How Max will survive the chaos will certainly put the adage "laughter is the best medicine" to the test.
