Iron Jawed Angels

Synopsis:

This HBO Original Movie, is based on an important chapter of U.S. history. It recounts the struggle of suffragettes Alice Paul (2-time Oscar® and Golden Globe® winner Swank, Million Dollar Baby, Boys Don't Cry, Red Dust) and Lucy Burns (O'Connor, Timeline, Book of Love) who finally secure women's voting rights in 1920.

In a male-dominated society, Paul and Burns are thrown in jail for their activist actions and they go on a hunger strike. Their resistance to being force-fed earns them the nickname "Iron Jawed Angels". Their iron wills and courage inspires a nation and changes it forever. A top-flight cast that includes Academy Award® winner Angelica Huston.
