Raymond Avila is a detective who has been promoted to the Internal Affairs division of the Los Angeles County Police. While researching a case of misconduct, he gets wind of the possible criminal activities of a respected street cop named Dennis Peck. Dennis is no pushover as he draws Raymond's wife into the web, generating a psychological struggle between the men.
