| | Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)Synopsis: We just can't get enough of Indiana Jones! His tongue-in-cheek charm and the relentless nonstop adventures he finds himself in continues to enthrall audiences both young and old. The second of the Indiana Jones trilogy begins with the eponymous hero fighting off a Chinese gang lord's henchmen, hell-bent on killing him. Indiana (Golden Globe® winner Ford, Hollywood Homicide, K-19: The Widowmaker) escapes in the nick of time, taking along sultry lounge singer Willie Scott (Capshaw, Due East, The Love Letter), and 12-year old sidekick Short Round. Their getaway leads them to a flight over the Himalayas--- whereupon the pilots bail out to leave Indy, Willie, and Short Round to their imminent deaths. But they manage to escape from the crashing plane. Finding themselves in India, they encounter a village leader who begs Indiana to find and return the village's precious magic jewel -- a stone which disappeared along with all of the village's children. Indiana agrees. They meet the local maharajah, who tries to convince them that nothing is out of the ordinary where they are. But underneath the palace, Hell reigns. Indiana and his companions stumble upon the missing children, enslaved by the evil maharajah and his terrorist cult. The village's missing jewel bestows great power to those who possess it, and Indiana attempts to steal it and free the children. What happens next---- including the memorable minecar railway chase--- will leave you breathless. Movie critic Roger Ebert calls it "a roller-coaster ride, a visual extravaganza, a technical triumph, and a whole lot of fun...exhilarating, manic, wildly imaginative escapism." Casts: Harrison Ford, Kate Capshaw Duration : 113 minutes
