When a presidential candidate dies unexpectedly during a campaign, the Democratic party ends up getting Washington D.C. alderman Mays Gilliam (Rock, Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, Bad Company, Osmosis Jones) as his replacement. He's got a good heart, but he bumbles through the first few weeks of the campaign, even with guidance from adviser Martin Geller (Baker, Spider-Man 2, Road To Perdition). Not only that, Mays' ex-girlfriend Kim (Givens, A Good Night To Die, Antibody) starts stalking him when she discovers she could be the First Lady someday.
