Synopsis:

Fast-talking comedian Chris Rock directs and stars in this wickedly cynical and timely comedy about the American electoral system.

When a presidential candidate dies unexpectedly during a campaign, the Democratic party ends up getting Washington D.C. alderman Mays Gilliam (Rock, Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, Bad Company, Osmosis Jones) as his replacement. He's got a good heart, but he bumbles through the first few weeks of the campaign, even with guidance from adviser Martin Geller (Baker, Spider-Man 2, Road To Perdition).

Not only that, Mays' ex-girlfriend Kim (Givens, A Good Night To Die, Antibody) starts stalking him when she discovers she could be the First Lady someday. At the same time, Mays begins to fall in love with caterer Lisa (Jones, The Brothers, The Ladies' Man). Finally Mays' brother Mitch (Mac, Ocean's Twelve, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle) asks him when he will start speaking his mind.

As the elections loom closer, Mays finds his own honesty, voice, and conviction can lead to the White House
