| Ghostbusters II (1989)Synopsis: Of course they're back ? there's green slime about. This classic sequel to the first Ghostbusters has the usual star-studded cast that makes for a great comedy sci-fi fantasy movie. After 4 years a lot has changed since these spirited heros last saved the world. Dr. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), hosts a talk show on parapsychology, Dr. Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) make a living entertaining at children's birthday parties and Dr. Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) continues to research the effect of human emotions on the psychomagnetic energy fields. Danna Barrett's (Sigourney Weaver) relationship with Venkman didn't last and she has since married, had a child, divorced and now working at the Manhattan Museum of Arts along side the eccentric art restorer, Janosz Poha (Peter Macnicol). Living in New York with 8 month old Oscar all seems normal until Oscar's baby carriage takes on a life of its own and heads uncontrollably into oncoming traffic. Who you gonna call?? you guessed it.Our team of heroes set about finding out the facts but have no idea what they're getting themselves into. There's slime breeding copiously in the sewers of New York feeding off the negative energy the city has in abundance. Louis Tully (Rick Moranis) is back and is about to have an encounter with an evil warlord back from the past threatening not only New York but all of man kind. Full of great one-liners and hilarious antics this movie will bring a smile or two. The Special effect, quality production and cast make this movie well worth watching. |
