Synopsis:

A white woman, Brenda Martin, (Moore) says that she was carjacked on her way home and her 4-year-old son was kidnapped as well. She claims it was a black man who did it, creating racial tensions. Black detective Lorenzo Council (Jackson) investigates the crime and discovers there is more than meets the eye.
