| | FrancesSynopsis: If you thought Winston Smith had it tough in 1984, it's time you met Frances. At the first rung of her acting career, Frances (Oscar?winner Jessica Lange, Blue Sky, King Kong, Cape Fear) starts writing her own ticket - NO dumb publicity stunts or makeup on screen. But earning a name as a rebel only serves to derail her future in show business. Seems Broadway playwright Clifford Odets has earmarked Frances for smaller things, tapping into her movie fame to up ticket sales. One false start later, Frances can't seem to restart her movie career, and a life fuelled by an alcohol dependency and nurtured by a mother's evil nature causes her to lose her marbles. In the kook house, she is abused like a lab rat, arbitrarily operated on and raped as and when. Then she's released into her mother's custody. Ah, the little ironies of life. One woman. One dream. One tiny mistake. Everything else, is history. Casts: Jessica Lange, Sam Shepard Duration : 132 minutes
