Synopsis:

Midler plays a U.S.O. singer who becomes a star while performing in the trenches during WW2 with Caan, a sexist, self-involved king of comedy. The scenario follows their tumultuous relationship as it develops over the decades. Bette Midler was nominated for Best Actress at the 1991 Academy Award®.
