He's fascinated by the past and secretly wishes for a life that is simple and uncomplicated. His wish comes true when he buys an antique pocket watch, which is actually a gateway into the late 19th century. Once back in time, he falls in love with a beautiful widow, and as his trips to and fro the past keep increasing, he realizes that he must choose between the past where he's found true love and a life that he always wanted, and the unfulfilling modern world.
