Synopsis:

In the 16th Century, a papist Spain, led by Philip, wants to bring down England's Queen Elizabeth, whom he brands as a heretic. While he builds an armada to invade England, Queen Elizabeth has to fend off courtly intrigue and traps with the help of her secretary Walsingham and guarding herself against the romantic advances of Walter Raleigh.
