| Dungeons & DragonsSynopsis: Does the idea of dwarves, elves and magical spells turn you on? Are you one of the many who worship the ground Peter Jackson walks on? Do you engage in long theological discussions on Yoda's wisdom? Well, if your answer is yes to any of those questions, then guess what - there's no turning back for you now. And here's why? Dungeons and Dragons is an action-packed, effects -laden, sword and sorcery flick much in the vein of Lord Of The Rings and Star Wars. It focuses on a struggle for power, between the evil mage Profion (Irons, Time Machine) and the young Empress Savina (Birch, American Beauty). Profion wants to keep the mages, and in particular, himself, in power. But Savina has a different take on things, and wants to see commoners on an equal level with those in power. She owns a mystical rod that allows her to control dragons. So Profion wants to find another artifact, one that will allow him to control the will of a different type of dragon. Throw into that larger tale the struggles of some low-level types, and you have a recipe for adventure. You've got two resourceful thieves, Ridley (Whalin, Lois And Clark) and Snails (Wayans, Requiem For A Dream), who are mainly in it for the loot. Then there's Marina (a low-level magic-user), Norda (a tracker elf), and Elwood (a crusty old dwarf). Not to be missed! |
